As a family-run restoration company, Brown’s specialises in sash window draught proofing. Established over 50 years ago, we have the skills and the experience to help property owners eliminate all the common problems that arise with sash windows.
Our experts are dedicated to delivering our work to an exceptional standard. From draught proofing to decorating and repair, we can restore your windows back to their original working condition.
Many homeowners assume that replacing sash windows is the only solution to cold draughts and rattling frames. In most cases, this is not necessary.
Professional draught proofing significantly reduces heat loss, eliminates unwanted air gaps, and improves the smooth operation of your existing windows. It also preserves original timber, which is often of far higher quality than modern replacements.
Draught proofing is typically far more cost effective than replacement and is particularly suitable for period properties and listed buildings where maintaining original features is important.
Draught proofing instantly improves your home, and it can also help to reduce your energy bills and has a range of other benefits which are instantly noticeable.
Makes the home more energy efficient
Reduces noise levels
Helps the sash run smoothly
Eliminates rattles
Keeps cold air out and warm air in
